meet baby daniella

Yesterday, my brother- and sister-in-law welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world. They now truly have the million dollar family. Daniella is absolutely stunning and already a girly girl. I forgot how small they are when they leave the womb and it made me even more excited to welcome her new cousin before too long. She was perfect with all of her tiny toes, fingers and her little button nose. Little Miss L. was delighted to meet her new cousin and wanted to hold her the whole time. I can't wait to cuddle this doll some more and smell that precious baby scent.

Proud uncle.
Shh, it's okay..mommy is going to feed you.
She may be tiny but she has a huge set of lungs on her.
Love these tiny toes!

welcome baby c

On September 5th, 2012 baby C entered into the world at 8:24am weighing at 7lbs 14oz. You may have noticed I have been super excited for his little guy's arrival. I couldn't wait until my girlfriend gave birth to this beautiful specimen. He gave his momma quite the hard time but eventually, after 30 plus hours, he entered into this world.

I had the chance to go to the hospital the next day to meet the little guy. He was absolutely perfect! I love those tiny little fingers, I love the sound a newborn baby makes (that sound like a dolphin), and I love the way they smell. They just fit so perfectly into your arms. I could have held him ALL day long!

It was a quick visit but worth every minute. Congratulations to the new mom and dad on your handsome baby C. I look for to watching him grow...

weekend catch-up part 1

Saying that we were busy this past weekend is an under statement. Friday started off a weekend full of laughter, babies, birthdays, engagements, and some much needed time with my Nan. Friday, I was joined by some of my fabulous girlfriends for an afternoon where we met baby B for the first time, had a few good laughs (much needed), ate, ate, and ate some more. Little Miss L. was smitten with baby B, and throughout the afternoon, planted some big ones on the wee little one. I love this time in my life where I witness my girlfriends starting their families. There is nothing better than holding a cuddly bundle of joy with that awesome baby smell. Congratulations to a beautiful couple - you guys sure know how to make a cute baby!

After a great day with the ladies, it was time for this momma to get dressed and head out on the town to ring in another year with a wonderful friend. We had a yummy dinner, and it felt great to have a night out with the hubby minus the kiddos (did I just say that... yep, sure did!) After a fun filled day, it was time for this momma to hit the sheets.
Sound asleep.
Look at those tiny lips.
He's pretty handsome and he knows it!
The boys getting to know each other.
Paparazzi...smile baby B.
Mr. Serious.
Little Miss L. knows who to hit up for the good stuff - note the empty cupcake wrappers.
We tired him out.
Happy 30th Birthday Sara. The best years are yet to come :)
To be continued...

newborn photos of baby d

I love love love newborn babies, especially when I have one of my very own to snuggle with these days. There is just something unique and short lived when looking at a newborn's tiny little fingers and toes. The newborn stage is so short and I wanted to remember all baby d's little wrinkles and the way he always opens his mouth when he sleeps. We were lucky to work with Sandra again, she captured everything we were looking for and more. I know everyone thinks their child is the cutest but baby d really does take the cake with those chubby little cheeks. Get ready for an overload of pure cuteness...
I love those toes.
I love those lips.
I love the way you sleep.
I love the little fuzzy hair that has yet to fall off.
I love those cheeks.
I love the way you smell.
I love the way you fit in our hands so perfectly.
I love our family of four.
I love to watch your big sister as she kisses and hugs you ever so gently.
I love the open mouth you always have when you are deep in sleep.
I love everything about you.
The stork brought me a beautiful baby boy.

we have progress

Our children are growing up so fast! Little Miss L. has decided that she wants to go to the bathroom on the toilet like a big girl. The hubby and I were debating when we would bite the bullet and start Little Miss L. on potty training, but for a couple reasons we didn't think it was quite the right time. To be honest, I know it is a big commitment and with the new little bundle of joy, I wasn't really looking to take on the task at this time. Well, what can I say... we didn't have the choice because Little Miss L. was the one who decided to take matters into her own hands. She started asking if she could use the toilet and who are we to argue that!? It has started off well, and I am hoping in the next few weeks we will be finished with diapers.
Our little girl is growing up.
Yesterday, baby D went to the doctor for the first time. I can't get over how big he is getting - he is already up a pound from his birth weight two weeks ago. Each day brings about new changes, and we are loving every minute of it. I love those beautiful blue eyes that are starting to focus on mommy and daddy's face.
I love those baby blues.
