apple orchard

I haven't found much time to blog lately and it would be easy for me to skip over some of our activities and just post the more up-to-date stuff but one of the reasons why I started this blog was to have a place where my children could some day look back on their childhood to remember the memories we created as a family whether they were big or small. Well, with that said over the next little bit I am going to update you guys with all the fun stuff our family of five has been up to, so bear with me.

Fall is one of my most favourite times of the year. I love love love the cooler days with lots of sunshine. The beautiful colours that make our landscape and let's not forget fall food is the BEST! There is something about fall that just relaxes me. Summer is so busy running from here to there and the fall brings about change as our family slows down a bit and allows us to enjoy the small things in life like family walks, apple picking, checking out the pumpkin patch and so much more.

A couple of weekends ago we headed to our local apple orchard. The kids had been nagging the hubby and I for weeks to head to the orchard. Remarkably, they both remembered going the year before and exactly what they did while they were there. So, it was off to the orchard we went but this time with a new member in the family, my girlfriend and her cutie putie son. It was a gorgeous day and the orchard was full of delicious apples this year.

The kids loved every moment of it- the wagon ride, the juicy apples, the family time, climbing up the ladder and of course hanging from the trees. We filled our bellies/bags full of goodies and made sure we left with a big jug of apple cider ( I absolutely love hot apple cider with cinnamon.)

Fall would not be the same without this family outing...
Growing up...
My handsome little man.
Time to pick some apples.
Apple picking is serious business.
Sleeping on the job.
I think Baby D ate more apples than he picked.
Mom, they are so juicy and why aren't they already peeled?
Attempt at a group photo of the kiddos.
Momma bear with Baby C.
I like hanging out in boxes.
She was a climbing machine.
My boys :)
I still can't believe I get to wake up to these cute boys.
I am flying!
Nothing sexier than my man with his babies.

baby i has arrived!

Happy Friday! Did you guys think I had disappeared? Well, I have been in my own little bubble the last few weeks as our family welcomed a new member last month. We are happy to announce baby I arrived and is healthy, happy and surrounded by so much love.

I wanted to share this exciting news with all of you earlier but each day would come and go and I still had not opened up my laptop. I have been getting to know my precious son and can't seem to put him down. I could hold him all day long and never get bored or tired of looking at him. Big sister and brother have been great. They are absolutely over the moon happy to have a new member in the house. They are constantly checking on him to make sure he is okay and if he is upset, big sister is right there to scope out the situation.

Time is flying by and I haven't shared any pics of our little man who is two weeks old today. So, the wait is over... here is a sneak peak of baby I's first and second day in this big world he is about to explore. I hope to be able to catch you all up shortly as we have been a busy family over the last few weeks. So, until then, check out this handsome fellow - he sure knows how to melt my heart.
First picture with mommy and daddy.
You would think after having two children you would remember how small they are but I was amazed once again.
He made us wait but it was worth it.
Hello sunshine. Thanks for the hat TuTu Chic Boutique!
I love love love baby toes.
Daddy has fallen in love all over again. I will never get sick of seeing daddy with his babies.
This little one is always thinking. He always has his hands on his face.
My sleeping angel.
Having some cuddle time with mommy.
I am confident to say that Baby I has received a million kisses already.

just checking in

Hey everyone!

I wanted to quickly drop-in to say that I haven't forgot about you guys! I have been a little MIA lately but this baby is kicking my butt these days. I was 39 weeks on Tuesday and ready for this little bean to make his appearance. We have had a few false alarms (he is a trickster already!) but I am hoping he will make his big appearance any moment now.

As we await the arrival of our new family member, we have been one busy family. Still preparing for little brother and hopefully all our parcels will arrive soon to finish off the boys room. Little Miss L. has finally got this whole school schedule figured out and started gymnastics this week. Baby D is loving all the one-on-one attention he has been getting during the day when his sissy is at school. He has been using this time to count to 10 all by himself, sing the ABC's, and loves to read a million books a day.

We have celebrated a few birthdays, anniversaries, and births in the last few weeks. Here is a sneak in photos over the past week.
Loving all the cuddles these two have been giving out lately. They can't wait to cuddle their little brother.
Little Miss L. ready for her first night of gymnastics. She absolutely loved it and rocked the balance beam!
Baby D's personality is growing each and every day. This child is always full of  the giggles.
I can't believe this little man turned one! We had a great afternoon celebrating Baby C's country fair birthday party.

happy 5th anniversary

Today, I wanted to take a moment to thank the man who has been by my side for the last 7 years. Today marks our 5th wedding anniversary and it still feels like we just tied the knot a few days ago. We have been so fortunate to welcome two beautiful children into this world and hoping our third will join us soon. We have laughed, we have shouted (Ok, that's all me,) we have seen amazing places, we learn about each other each and every day, we have seen our first born head off to school and this is only the beginning. I can't wait to grow old with you and to see what this crazy world has in store for us in the coming years.

Happy Anniversary my love,

Your HAW

maternity photos with baby #3

I can't believe I have hit the 38 weeks mark today. It won't be long now before baby boy will join our family. I am excited and nervous all rolled into one. I wanted to share a few of my maternity photos with all of you before the little guy arrives. A great big thank you to my dear friend Megan who helped us capture these photos. It definitely didn't go smoothly as the two kiddos did not want to co-operate. The weather was sunny one minute and then pouring rain the next but we still managed to get a few shots that we will cherish forever.
