lori & gregg tie the knot

Have you ever watched a movie where two people find each other in unusual circumstances, fall in love and then the perfect couple marry and become best friends? Well, I can now say I have seen this movie played out in real life. Two weekends ago, I witnessed one of the most stunning brides marry her best friend. The bride was gorgeous (like a barbie doll), the groom was handsome (like a Ken doll), the location was perfect and the decor was breathtaking. There were tears, laughter and lots of dancing. The whole day can been summed up as magical.

It was truly a beautiful wedding, you could feel the love in the air the whole time. It was great night spent with wonderful friends and it was nice to have the hubby all to myself for awhile.

Here is a sneak peak...
Love...
The bride and groom chose the beautiful Codes Mill on the park for their reception.
The rare opportunity for the hubby and I get a pic together.
They chose grey, white and a splash of pink and purple for their decor. Love love loved it!
Centerpieces varied but this one was my favourite.
Hanging with two of my fav girls.
Head table was draped in a grey tablecloth with crystal lamps.
I loved this special touch. The name cards represent how the couple met.
The couple preparing for their first dance as a married couple.
The happy couple.
Beautiful ladies :)
In one hand I hold what I wish I could have been downing for the evening and the other is what I downed instead.
The bride wore two stunning gowns. This was number #2 for the day.
The bride and groom made this handsome specimen. The cutest ring-bearer.
The girls.
Congrats again to an incredible wife, mother and friend.

mj & p's wedding

This past Saturday, we attended a family wedding for MJ and Paul. They are such a beautiful couple, it is so easy to look at this couple and see the love they share for each other. They celebrated their big day at the stunning Chateau Montebello, it is one big rustic red cedar log cabin and I love love loved it! The weather was unpredictable, and the rain decided to show it's ugly face off and on all day. They had hoped to say their vows under the gazebo by the water but decided not to play with fire, and instead said their vows in one of the rustic cabins with gigantic black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

The kids were busy little bees but Little Miss L. absolutely loved watching MJ, "the princess." She enjoyed mingling with all the people and her favourite part - dancing the night away. We were the ones who had to drag her off the dance floor to come home. I think we were a mere 2 minutes down the road when she was snoring away.

Thank you MJ and Paul for allowing us to take part in your special day. It was a beautiful wedding and you both were glowing. Here is to many years of health and happiness!
Are we are at the right wedding?
Baby D waits for the brides arrival.
How cute are these flower girls?
Here comes the stunning bride.
The Mr and Mrs. making it official.
The kiddos with grandma and grandpa.
Seriously girl, when will you just give mommy one nice picture of the two of us?
The boys just hanging out. Having a few drinks.
Cake time. I loved the rustic feel of this wedding.
I loved this idea for the favours!
Chateau Montebello golf and country club.
Mommy and daddy trying to get a picture but the little one had to sneak in.
Marilyn?
Dancing the night away with her Tia.
Little Miss L. wasn't giving in to sleep. She put her pj's on with treat in hand and partied hard.
Someone else, on the other hand, gave in.

celebrating e&j's wedding

A big congrats goes out to our wonderful friends Jenn and Eric on tying the knot. The happy couple wed on a beautiful beach in Jamaica. Once they arrived home, they decided to continue the celebration with a backyard barbecue at their new home for family and friends. I love love love barbecues, and this one did not disappoint. We shipped the kiddos off to their grandparents for the day, and enjoyed some adult time. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the company was superb! Here is to many years of health, love and happiness!
As you all know I love love love the little details. I loved the rustic looking banner and clothes pins displaying their wedding photos for friends and family who were not able to make the trip to Jamaica to see.
Loved the wedding favours. Each bag had a bulb to plant when their guest went home.
Can't wait to plant ours, such a great reminder every time you look at your flower beds.
Out and about with the hubby minus the kiddos.
I have to say I have some pretty good looking girlfreinds.
This couple knows how to get the party started.
The ladies.
Chef Brad, whipping things up on the barbecue.
A little action shot for you. Seriously, this is the best one we could get out of 20 taken.
Look, this momma can still get some air.
Loved the green inspired centerpieces. I love the natural look, very fresh.
One last shot of the ladies and I.
The backyard was turned into a sea of twinkling lights - once it became dark it made for such a romantic atmosphere.

colds...weddings...

Yet again, Little Miss L. and I have been hit with a cold which started Thursday and continues on. It was a diasppointing start to our weekend, but Saturday afternoon arrived and we needed to shake it off and head to a family wedding. It was small, intimate wedding held at an 1860's Inn built with fieldstone - I love love love venues like this! The Inn was decorated beautifully with off-white liens and touches of berries everywhere you turned. It was great to spend time with our family and by the end of the evening, Little Miss L. and I could not wait to hit the sheets. Sunday was spent in lazy mode, as our nephew came to join us for the day. Little Miss L. was dying to spend time with her cousin, as he had just returned from a family vacation. I had some fun with grocery shopping, cleaning, and laundry ( I bet you are all jealous now). This week, I am hoping this cold will leave because I am not in the mood to deal with another two week cold... geesh we just got over the last one!
The bride and groom had several flower girls - they were too cute.
They said "I do!"
Little Miss L. singing Fado
Cousin Gloria - so beautiful.
My little girl and I - she wasn't in the mood for photos.
Off-white liens made everything look crisp and clean.
Loved the sweeping circular staircase that was adorned with berries.
Loved the centerpieces. Sprinkling peppercorns on the table added a nice touch.
Yum- this was some good blueberry cheesecake.
Our little cousin baby A - I love those cheeks!
The girls are all smiles.
In training...
That's right kids, clean that floor!
Our little nephew - so peaceful.
Little Miss L. is having a party with all her friends.
