Well, as you have noticed, I have been pretty quiet for the past month or so. Things have been extremely busy around here. This blog was meant to document our family life and leave behind something my children can look back on years down the road. Even though I have not been posting, I still plan on sharing lots of our adventures that took place in the past months. These moments now feel like they happened long ago but they are still moments I would like to capture and share with the kiddos. Hopefully this means I will be posting a bit more in the next little bit. To start off, I wanted to share Baby I's progress. I am behind as you know, so I have combined months 8 & 9.
Baby I, you have been growing and growing! I feel like this time around the baby stage went out the window very quickly. Baby I, you are an exploring machine. You are interested in everything. You like to open and close doors and pull off anything that may be on a shelf. You are crawling and can stand on your own for a good minute. You have four teeth, love to eat and I mean eat! I think you may have a bottomless pit for a stomach. You definitely get that from your father. You are eating purées but love finger foods such as blueberries, potatoes, strawberries and toast.
You love to play peek-a-boo and ball with your sister and brother. You love bath time and scream when mommy and daddy take you out. You hate having your diaper and clothes changed. You don't like to sleep - I think you are too afraid you will miss out on something.
Lastly, you made this mommy so very happy when you started saying "mum, mum, mum." You must have heard me when I told you a million times it would make me so happy if you said "mum" before "dada" because daddy already won that right with your brother and sister.
Keep growing and smiling baby boy!

4 months
Wow, baby boy, you are four months old already! I keep repeating myself but it sure does feel like we welcomed you into this world only a few short days ago. Each day I wake to find a happy little boy smiling back at me. You have the best giggles, I could seriously listen to you giggle all day long. You still have not mastered the roll but you are working very hard on it. We went to your 4 month check up the other day and you are tipping the scales at 14.5 pounds. You are in the 90th percentile for height, that I can vouch for because you are wearing 9-12 sleepers and pants. You had two needles and you took them like a champ. Your big brother was there by your side to hold your hand and gave you big kisses and hugs afterwards. He even said you could hold his precious toy car.
You are always watching daddy and mommy very carefully while we are eating. We thought it was about time we introduced you to solids. You absolutely loved your cereal. Mommy can not seem to make it fast enough. We haven't got you back to sleeping through the night but after filling your belly up, it seems like you have been sleeping longer hours.
I like to call you my little chatter box. You are always chatting away to anyone who will listen. Let's just say if your stuffies could talk, they might tell you to lay off on all the yelling you have been doing at them.
I love the great big hugs you have been giving me. You could lay off on the hair pulling as mommy can't afford to lose any more hair.
Soon we will be celebrating your first Valentine's Day. Get ready for lots of hugs and smooches that day!

2 months
Yesterday marked two months for our little guy. I can't believe how much you have grown in a month. You are wearing mostly 3 month clothing but it won't last much longer. You are full of chatter these days and your brother and sister love making you talk. Their favourite part of the day is singing to you and watching you smiling back at them. You have been battling a cold for most of the month, I am praying you get over it real soon as it has been hard for you to sleep and eat properly. You still have a massive appetite and you took a bottle for the first time this month without any problems. This makes momma happy as I can now get out of the house (by myself) and leave you to spend time with others. If you hadn't been stuck with this awful cold, I am sure you would be sleeping through the night 90% of the time. You have been giving me a full nights sleep off and on this past month and I love it! I love that you recognize mommy and daddy's voices and now hold onto our fingers when we hold you. I call you my little cuddle bug as we could cuddle together all day long. Tomorrow, we will head to the doctor's for your first needle, I am hoping this is harder on me than you. This weekend, we are heading to get our first family photos as a family of five done. Let's hope you and your siblings decide to co-operate just this once.

1 month
This past Sunday, our little man reached his one month old milestone. It feels like just yesterday I walked in the door with a new bundle of joy. We have been blessed with one of the most precious gifts and I am thankful each and every day. Yes, there are many sleepless nights and dirty diapers but I would not change it for a thing.
During the first month, you battled jaundice but this week we finally got a clear bill of health. I guess all of your sunbathing paid off. You are such a big eater, always looking to fill your belly. You are just over 10 pounds and I can't believe the amount of clothes you have already grown out of. Your body is in overdrive as you are learning to control your muscles - the last few days, you have almost knocked mommy out a few times. You are finally starting to focus on objects like mommy and daddy and can recognize our voices. You are beginning to coo and I absolutely love it. It is beautiful music to my ears. The other day, you smiled at me for the first time and my heart melted. Every day, you seem to smile more and more, those are the moments I cherish and look forward to each day. Mommy would like to also thank you for the two nights you let me sleep 6 hours. Feel free to do that more often! I can't wait to watch you continue to grow.
