1st birthday party

This past weekend was full of f's-friends, fun, and food. I love love love a good party, especially a children's birthday party! Who doesn't love balloons, games, party favours, scrumptious food, dancing, and who can forget the famous birthday cake. There is just something special about being surrounded by sugar-induced, bouncing and giggling children. Saturday, we put our party hats on in celebration of our dear friend Baby E's 1st birthday. It was a wonderful party with lots of good laughs - Little Miss L. could not stop talking about it. For the last four days, she keeps asking when Baby E is going to have another party? Happy Birthday Baby E - you are growing up so fast... here is to another fabulous year ahead.
Loved the Hello Kitty theme - cake and cookies were beyond yummy!

Love the milk for the kids - made we want to chug back a glass of the cold stuff.
Party time!
Little Miss L. was trying to sneak out of the party with these awesome balloons.
My two handsome men. Baby D was loving all the attention.
Loved the idea of the guests leaving their hand prints on canvas for Baby E to hang in her room. Great memento.
Time for cake!
Baby E thought it was quite delicious.
The party favours were a hit - the kids loved them.
Baby E's daddy is talented - he was able to make balloon animals for all the kiddies. Little Miss L. wanted to give it a try as well.
Friends for life. Little Miss L. loves her to the moon and back as she says.
Time to pin the bow on Hello Kitty.
Time for presents!
This time of our lives is special. I love getting together with all of our friends and watching our children grow up together. Memories in the making :)

weekend catch-up

Tis' the season to be busy... fa la la la la... la la, la la. This weekend was go, go, go but I loved every minute of it. Little Miss L. had been patiently waiting for Saturday to arrive in anticipation for her friend's 3rd birthday party. The birthday party was held at a great facility where the children were able to run free on the gigantic play structure, run through the obstacle courses, and to end the party off right, they filled their bellies with pizza and ice cream cake. It must have been a good party because as soon as Little Miss L.'s seat-belt was buckled up, she was fast asleep. The rest of the day we spent making some goodies we plan on giving out to our friends and family over the holiday season.

Sunday morning, we woke up bright and early for a special day - Little Miss L. and Baby D were going to visit Santa. More to come tomorrow about our visit with Santa. The rest of the day consisted of shopping, shopping, and more shopping. To end the day, we had a great dinner at the in-laws. I can't believe Christmas is only two weeks away!
My kiddies were full of energy this weekend. Little Miss L. loves spending time with her brother.
I love love love this smile. Baby D, I love the way you giggle at mommy now.
Little Miss L. has no fear. She wanted to show mommy what a big girl she is by going over bridges and through tunnels all by herself.
Baby E, I love love love your hair.
Baby E and Little Miss L. were having a blast in the ball pit.
Little Miss L. covered Baby E with all the colourful balls...Baby E thought it was the funniest thing ever.
My handsome nephew.
Baby J getting so big.
Fun time with the parachute.
The children's faces lit up when they saw the trampoline.
Happy Birthday Miss T.
Time to help mommy make one of daddy's favourite things...
that's right, chocolate-covered pretzels.
Baby D meets the big guy for the first time and for once, Little Miss L. didn't have a break down.

thanksgiving and birthday weekend extravaganza cont'

If you checked out my post yesterday I mentioned I was snap-happy this past weekend. I just could not believe my little girl was turning two. I wanted to capture every moment of her big day, I think I succeeded...
I snapped this picture as soon as the little one woke up in the morning. Little Miss L. was so excited to celebrate her birthday.
Baby D loved snuggling with the birthday girl.
Time for some crafts with grandpa.
Little Miss L. and grandpa made the centerpieces for our thanksgiving dinner.
The finished product. I must say they did a pretty good job!
The birthday girl!
Mom - What are you going to do today?
Little Miss L. - I'm going to blowout candles momma.
It's my party and I can cry if I want to.
Baby D and great grandma.
Mom - Little Miss L., what would you like to do now?
Little Miss L. - Open presents momma, please!
How can I say no to this precious face.
Daddy helping the birthday girl open her gifts. Thank you everyone for spoiling our little girl.
Look at my new dog... time for my happy dance.
Little Miss L. waited all day for this moment. We even had to repeat the whole process twice - I am sure we could have sang Happy Birthday all night long.
Time for Little Miss L. and Aunt K to get their dance on.
I can't believe how big our handsome man is getting.
I could stare at this face all day long.

thanksgiving and birthday weekend extravaganza!

This weekend was a special one - my little blue eyed girl turned two years old. The past two years have been filled with many firsts. In only two short years she has developed into a caring, charismatic, energetic little girl who is always keeping me on my toes. Each and every day brings something new and I love love love watching her develop her own personality. This weekend was packed with amazing food, fantastic friends and family, a little pumpkin picking and let's not forget as Little Miss L. would say it was "candle blowout day." Momma was snap happy as always, so I am going to break this post into two because it would be photo overload. Happy 2nd Birthday my angel!
Little Miss L. and God-mommy having a swinging good time.
Two beautiful girls.
One of Little Miss L.'s favourite things.
We still have fresh strawberries growing in October!
Little Miss L. could not wait to get her little fingers on these juicy berries.
Time to hit the pumpkin patch. Too bad there weren't many left.
I am a happy girl now that I have a strawberry in my hand.
Who doesn't like a good slide?
It seems every outing we take, the little man seems to sleep through it.
My precious girl.
Time to pick some pumpkins!
Someone was happy to be surrounded by all the pumpkins.
